Who Are Accepted to Turkish Universities?
Students from all over the world, in case of fullfiling the requirements,
can apply to study in Turkish universities. The conditions are as follows:
1. Candidates who are foreign nationals
2. Who were born in Turkey but they quit their Turkish citizenship with the special permission taken by the Ministry of Interior
3. Those who were foreing national but they became Turkish citizen later on too (students who are giong to complete the high school in Turkey mAbout Ust be foreign national ONLY)
4. Turkish citizens who studied high school abroad
5. Turkish citizens who graduated from open high schools abroad (Turkish Republic of Northern CyprAbout Us excepted)
6. Students from Turkish Republic of Northern CyprAbout Us with GCE AL exam results

Students who have two nationailities and who graduated from Turkish high schools

The Documents Required To Apply Turkish Universities
- Passport
- High School Diploma
- High School Transcript (showing last 3 years)
- Blue Card
- Equivalency of Diploma
*All the documents are required to be translated in notary
To be able to get the equivalency of high school diploma it is required to contact
Turkish Representative

After preparing the documents above, they are also supposed to prepare a guarantee
letter showing that their expenses are going to be covered during their staying in Turkey
by one sponsor. Finally they apply to the universities by filling their application form
and depositing the registration fee for the university.
Universities accept applications beginning from January until September but not
to miss popular departments’ admissions like dentistry, medicine or engineering faculties
students should complete their procedure as early as possible.
After completeing the whole procedure, students mAbout Ust prepare for YOS exam
if the universities they would like to enter require YOS or SAT exams. Each university has a different date for this exam,

(either Turkish or English) they would like to study, they have to submit either Turkish sufficiency (TOMER) diploma
or Ielts-Toefl result. Otherwise they will need to study one year of preparation class

127 public and 48 private universities accept foreign students in Turkey. About Usually public universities have
less quote than private universities, and they require YOS exam result for acceptance of foreign students.
